Dear Lord,
The whole universe, stars, moon and everything that holds breath was created through you. The authority is yours, the salvation of humankind came about through you; you are the king of kings and lord of lords. Who are we that you should think of us! In all humility, we ask you now to listen to our prayers.
Within this, your church, where there is weariness, bring sprightliness,
Where there is doubt, bring certainty,
Where there is depression, bring hope,
Where there is envy, bring acceptance and contentment,
Where there is possessiveness, help us to hold things lightly in our hands,
Where there is illness, bring healing and health,
Where there is friction, bring peace,
Where there is sadness and mourning, bring comfort and distraction,
And where there are long term conditions, bring wholeness and relief.
Thank you that nothing is impossible with you.
