Dear Heavenly Father,
You are a God who loves life, and life in abundance. We praise and worship you for Jesus, who died to give us a new life free from worry, free from guilt, forgiven. So help us sign up to Jesus; help us repent and be forgiven and grab our new life.
We thank you for your love and grace that allows this renewed life to happen when we journey with you, turning the barrenness of unforgiven sin and separation from you, into a grateful, fruitful and joyous life full of meaning and hope; a life fully connected to you.
Thank you for Psalm 103 which speaks of that love and grace – and its saving power – verse 4 …(God) ‘redeems my life from the pit…’. Father, you know our ‘pits’ are many:-
The pit of despair, the pit of guilt, the pit of fear,
The pit of loneliness, the pit of sin and shame,
The pit of selfishness, the pit of poverty,
The pit of our circumstances, the pit of insecurity,
The pit of anger, the pit of wanting revenge,
The pit of anything that stops us leading happy and fulfilled lives.
Thank you that there is no pit that you can’t draw us out of with your saving grace. Apart from you, we can do nothing – (John 15:5). But with you we can be transformed.
And for this we are eternally grateful,
